We have another teenager in the house! To celebrate Jordan's birthday, he wanted to take some friends and go camping in the Arkansas mountains. So this weekend we loaded up our family and 2 friends and headed for Alberts Pike. Granny and Pawpaw live near so Catherine Grace and I stayed with them. She was not so sure about sleeping in the tent. We visited the campsite during the day on Saturday and had lunch with the boys. It was great fun! The beauty of the world God has given us filled us with awe and joy! Mountains, waterfalls, and beautiful red, orange and yellow leaves were everywhere we looked. The boys had a blast wading and falling into the river. They caught minnows, tadpoles, and crayfish. They hiked trails and climbed rocks overlooking the campsite. Ahhhhh, life without television, phones or electricity - just the rushing water of the Little Missouri River and a campfire. Life was grand!! Catherine Grace just loved throwing rocks in the river and the boys tried to show her how to skip them. Happy Birthday Jordan!
